Located in downtown Los Angeles' Civic Center neighborhood, SOM's timeless design utilizes beautiful and durable finishes.  Shaw & Sons's scope included the concrete hardscape at the civic entry plaza and central courtyard, the processional steps, and planter walls and ramps.  The planter walls and stair berm where built using shotcrete methodology.  The custom integrally colored paving finish was seeded with recycled mirror and white marble to incorporate other materials used within the building architecture.
